Storytelling Concerts that Bridge Generations

Young and old travel together on journeys spun from words…

It doesn’t matter how old or young you are. When Mark tells stories, every generation in the room listens and enjoys. His stories work on so many levels, but at the core is a combination of transmitted joy and the thrill of the story.

Mark Binder -- Author!

When Mark Binder performs a storytelling concert the world stops, and everyone listens.

“My goal is to connect generations with the joy of story,” Mark explains. “I like to say that children listen with their parents ears. Parents also get to experience the excitement of being a child. Adults are often amazed at the attention spans their children have. When you bring the whole family, they are all engaged—even older kids. It’s a win-win-win.”

Like any other concert, a storytelling program composed of sets of stories, which change and adjust based on the ages of the listeners, the needs of the booking venue, the season, and even the weather.

  • If you’re a parent, wondering if an event is “appropriate” for your children, then the answer is yes! Bring them all. Mark’s stories adjust based on the age range of the people who show up. Children under 3 will enjoy the stories, but may need to be taken for a walk if they become restless.
  • If you’re programming an event, then rest assured that Mark will put together a set of stories that exceeds your needs and pleases your audience.
