Want to encourage reading and inspire writing?
We had an excellent Cultural arts program today, Mark Binder great storyteller, and author… had everyone’s attention! The children and teachers really enjoyed his many different character voices! …
I actually had a chance to speak to many of the children the following day and they still were talking about how they really enjoyed the storyteller and author and some were even remembering the stories he told and read and repeated some of their favorite parts.
If you need a storyteller or author look no further! Mark Binder is the man for you!
—Sharon Johnston, Cultural Art Chairperson, Norwood School
Enrichment for all grades, ages and abilities
Whether in large assemblies or small groups, Mark is equally comfortable reading and telling stories to a single class, or to a wide variety of grades. He uses storytelling, song, question and answer, and audience interactions to connect with K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 grades. (If you’ve got a PK, ask about a short and separate session, too.)

He transmits the joy of reading and writing,

“Mark proved to be an excellent choice for our yearly author visit. His stories were fresh, original, amusing and, at times, heartwarming…. Our student council has focused their efforts for the past two years on anti-bullying programs, and Mark’s signature story, ‘The Bully and the Shrimp’ has become a school-wide favorite…. Mark’s ability to adjust his repertoire to the ages and needs of the students was outstanding.”
—Mary Shea Rys, Liverpool Elementary
“Thank you for coming to our school. The students and teachers truly enjoyed your stories. We all appreciated your enthusiasm! We will definitely keep you in mind for future events.”
—Charlene Baer, Librarian, Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Academy
“Reading stories to children is play. That’s why youngsters who have stories read with them learn how to read faster and earlier. They get the joy of the story without work or study…”
—Mark Binder from The Bed Time Story Book
